Nothing can cause a roof to deteriorate more quickly than actively growing moss and lichen. The sad truth about moss is that it won’t go away on its own and the best way to prevent any damage on the roofs is to remove and/or treat it aggressively. Snugs has developed two complimentary problems that can eliminate moss and keep it from coming back.
NOTE: Put moss treatment in the budget every year to avoid costly damage that can occur to the roof.
Compressed Air Moss Removal and Moss Treatment
Access roof and evaluate if roof is in good enough condition to clean the roof.
Use Low Pressure/High Volume Compressed Air to remove heavy moss concentrations from specified roof surfaces. (185 to 375 CFM @ 80-100 PSI)
Remove all moss clumps larger than 1″ (about 80% of typical moss). Roofs will regain a generally clean appearance.
Clean all gutters and downspouts.
Remove mossy debris from all hardscape surfaces.
Light rake landscaped areas to remove large deposits of mossy debris, and place in customer trash or yard debris containers.
Apply Resolute Moss TreatmentTM to areas where moss was removed and where any feathery moss is still visible.
